Legacy Family Tree 8.0. The software is FamilySearch Certified and supported by numerous free tutorials and webinars. Nancy will be happy to answer questions about the Legacy Family Tree version 8.0 software which has a free Standard edition and a low cost Deluxe edition.

Nancy R. Thomas is Past President of CAGGNI (Computer Assisted Genealogy Group of Northern Illinois) and DCGS (DuPage County Genealogical Society). She is a retired College of DuPage Professor/Reference Librarian and has been researching her ancestors and her husband's for over 30 years.

Our first GENIE is CARON PRIMAS BRENNAN

ROOTS MAGIC SOFTWARE

Caron first became acquainted with Roots Magic at a demonstration at RootsTech in 2011.  During the Genealogy Do-Over of 2015, she did a side by side comparison of Roots Magic and other software systems in order to chose a new software system to use.  She determined that Roots Magic was better suited to her needs and has been using it as her primary genealogy software ever since.

Caron has been researching her family since an assignment in the 6th grade got her interested.  She has subscriptions to many resources including Ancestry.com, GenealogyBank, New England Historical Society, Fold3, and Family Search.org.  She is a member of the Genealogical Speakers Guild and a Professional Member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, as well as several local and regional genealogy groups.
